After such a long time working and +400 layers, i finnaly got the basic shading and outline done.

I still don't know if i should colour it or not.

I hope you can tell me what to do next :D

Edit 1:The reference image i used to create this work was made by ~daitengu and you can find it here

Edit 2:I decided I am not going to colour this image as I think it looks better on B&W.

Dude, just a suggestion...why not try to make it a kohaku (bright red on a milky white base) koi, It's the most popular variety of koi for japanese koi collectors plus, it represent japan itself (just like the nissan skyline R-34 GTR)and I think that the red and white combination will stand out from the water background.
